Many factories like to make pearlescent inks, so when we produce pearlescent inks, there will be many problems. How should we deal with those problems?
iSuoChem will come up with solutions to some common problems for your reference.
1. Poor pearl effect or no pearl effect
1) Check whether the outlets of the version are blocked, or the outlets need to be cleaned. Whether the dots of the version are too shallow to achieve the desired effect.
2) Check whether the viscosity of the pearlescent ink matches the speed of the vehicle properly.
3) Check whether the angle of the scraper is too large or the pressure is too high.
4) Check that the distance between the scraper and the pressure roller is too long, and the dry plate phenomenon occurs.
2. Bonding orsticking
1) The ink is not dry. Increase the drying unit, speed up the printing speed, and use fast-drying thinner.
2) The printing plate is too deep and the layers are too thick.
3) The pressure is too large, the winding tension is too large or the curling length is too large.
4) When the film is damp, the film should be dried before printing.
5) Improper corona treatment of the film fails to meet the treatment requirements.
3. Uneven printing of pearlescent pigment
1) The accuracy of the rubber roller is poor. Poor contact between the rubber roller and the inking plate roller, or the rubber roller is too hard and slips to cause the bottom of the printing bar, resulting in uneven color difference.
2) The ink viscosity is too high. The viscosity of the ink is too high. It is not easy to apply evenly, and it is transferred to the layout surface, causing unevenness after imprinting.
3) The pressure of the printing pressure roller is uneven. The pressure on both sides of the pressure roller should be adjusted to be consistent.
4) Static phenomenon. Static electricity should be eliminated in time, and a grounding device is generally used.
5) Check whether the pearl powder is precipitated. The stirring capacity should be strengthened.
6) If you purchase pearl powder for blending, you should choose the mutual adaptation of pearl powder and diluent.
4. Produces pearlescent effect but not glossy
1) The volatilization rate of the thinner is too fast, and a slow-drying thinner should be used.
2) Reduce the oven temperature, or cold air.
4) The ink is too thin. Increase the viscosity of the ink.
As a Pearlescent pigment manufacturer, iSuoChem also have been in exporting for over 15 years. Our core goal is creating the values together with our clients. Welcome to join in us to develop your local Pearlescent pigment markets.
