Pearl pigment is appropriative pigment in planography printing. The improved pearl inks on the market use special pearlescent pigments in planography printing which have good dispersibility and transferability. So excellent pearlescent effects can be obtained. Dosage

Mixing 2 kilograms transparent ink with one kilogram of pearl pigment to get pearl luster ink.

Printing speed

Cause it needs some short time to cast for ink transferring to the surface of paper,In order to maintain the best parallel alignment, so the speed is slower than the usual planography.

Paper types

Please choose the paper types with the smooth surface(e.g:enamel paper……).

Printing orders

It will have different pearl luster effect with the change of orders of printing. You can using pearl ink before coloring if the the color of the printed product is quite slashing, that can increase the saturation of the color of the printed product and add the third dimension; you can use the pearl pigment in the last process to get the best pearl luster effect.

You can also print the bottom layer using pearl pigment, and then print with half-tone to get the special pearl luster effect.

If the printed product belongs to dark color or high hiding power color, in order to avoid affecting the pearl luster, it is recommended to add pearl pigments after printing.

 Cause the pearl luster ink is translucence, it can be superposed and used in more times and can be added to any printing process to get special pearl luster result.

 On the other hand, they can also mix to use with high dispersibility, high transference, scattered light pigment(the colorant mixed with pearl pigment can exceed the gross of the ink).

Further processing after printing

Further processing after printing(e.g, colding, hoting, glaze, UV glazing and so on) can be carried as usual. What's more, embossing and other treatment can help to get more ideal pearl luster result.

 Some planography printing machines with optical bench can make the pearl pigment into the glaze ink to create special effect.
