Pearl luster pigments are a type of specialized pigment in planographic printing.
After careful studying by many experts and improving the usual pearl pigment, hit the market with specialized pearl pigment in planography printing, and has dispersion, transitivity, so can obtain excellent pearl luster effect.
The particle of usual pigment used in the four color ink is 0.018-0.078µm, and the particle of other bright pigment is 0.18-0.68µm, while the particle of iSuoChem pearl pigment is 5-20µm, the depth is 0.2-0.5µm. 1. Dosage
Mix 2 kilos transparent ink with 1 kilo pearl pigment to get pearl luster ink
2. Ink concocting
Wet pearl pigment fully by little solvent, then add small quantity ink and mix round fully. Put pearl pigment and the rest transparent ink into agitator tank, mix round fully by machine, at the same time, avoid forming bubble, stewing for a time to escape from the problem of dispersing asymmetry, because of the non-saturation of ink
When it is small quantity, pearl pigment and ink can be mixed fully and stewed in the plate at the least 30 minutes
3. Inking up
The first work needs superfluous pearl luster ink, then fully bring out the pearl pigment by more trial running paper.
When you get the pearl luster effect, low gradually the depth of ink until you get the best pearl luster effect.
4. Printing speed
As it needs some short time to cast for ink transferring to the surface of paper, in order keep the best parallel arrangement, so the speed is slower than the usual planographic printing.
5. Paper types
Please choose the paper types with the smooth surface(e.g:enamel paper……)
6. Printing orders
It will be different pearl luster effect with the change of orders of printing. You can using pearl ink before coloring if the the color of the printed matter is very slashing, that can increase the saturation of the color of the printed matter and add the third dimension. You can use the pearl pigment in the last process to obtain the best pearl luster effect.
You also can print the bottom layer using pearl luster pigments and then print with half-tone to obtain the special pearl luster effect.
On the other hand, they also can the mixed to use with high dispersion, high transparency, scattered light pigment (the colorant mixed with pearl pigment can exceed the gross of the ink)
7. Further processing after printing
Further processing after printing (e.g, cooling, heating, glaze, UV glazing and so on) can be carried as the usual. What's more, embossing and other treatment can help to get more ideal pearl luster effect.
