Yellow 14# is a yellow pigment with a darker shade than 12#. This fine yellow powder is odorless and tasteless. It is insoluble in water, alkaline substances, or solvents. It is slightly soluble in 5% dilute hydrochloric acid. It is completely soluble in concentrated acid, dilute nitric acid, and boiling dilute sulfuric acid.
