There are many luminous pavements in the city now. It looks no different from ordinary roads during the day, but it will emit light at night or when it is dark. We call these materials with luminous function as luminous powder.

First, let's appreciate several luminous paths.

As can be seen from the picture, the shape of the luminescent material can be divided into granular, cobblestone, tile, etc. of different sizes. The luminous color is also diverse, rich in color and high in saturation. We can use different shapes and colors to match the patterns we want. These patterns are not obvious in the daytime. When night falls, the luminous pavement begins to emit the light it absorbs during the day. People passing by are easily attracted to it. Compared with power lights, luminous pavement also saves power and lasts longer.

However, the luminous powder laid on the road to make it glow also has another an important function, that is, to adjust the light. In fact, the luminous powder has always been in a state of absorbing light and emitting light, keep repeating this process. In a dark environment with light irradiation, irradiate it with strong light, and then stop irradiating it, and you will find that there is a layer of light on its surface. Based on this principle, the luminous pavement at night does not only play a luminous function when it is completely dark. Under normal road conditions, there are some lights beside the road, which can easily cause eye fatigue when the ground is reflected or the lights are brighter, which is the "light pollution" at night, while the lights on the luminous road will shine on the luminous road. It has the function of adjusting the light. After the luminous road is illuminated by the light, it will not reflect but absorb light, and it will also emit light, making the light softer, and the light on this road will not be so dazzling.

This principle is not enough to reflect on a simple road. We can imagine a tunnel. There must be some lights on both sides of the tunnel. If a luminous wall is added on both sides to adjust the light, the luminous wall absorbs the light and does not reflect it. The wall also emits weak light. Under this combination of light, it will greatly reduce the driver's fatigue and effectively improve safe driving.
